Soft Washing

Soft washing is the use of water-based, biodegradable chemicals to break down dirt and grime, get rid of bug nests and webs, kill mold, mildew, algae and bacteria – leaving the surface clean and sterilized.

Soft washing uses just one-third of the water that pressure or power washing does, lasts 4 - 6 times longer, and doesn't erode or harm the surface like pressure washing frequently can. Soft washing also does so much more than power washing because it does more than just clean your roof. The products used in the SoftWash System do not simply tidy; they penetrate, sterilize, and get rid of the root of the problem.

Treating your roof with soft washing is more like pest control – the combination of safe, eco-friendly chemicals guarantee that the microbes that create buildup are not just partly swept away, but removed completely.

Roof Cleaning and Beyond

Soft washing can be carried out on a wide variety of surfaces where algae and bacteria grow. The same bacterium that creates black streaks on roofs can likewise grow on:

  • Concrete
  • Brick
  • Tile
  • Wood
  • Vinyl Siding
  • Aluminum
  • And more…

If you're trying to find a way to get rid of what's cultivating on the surface of your roof, deck or fence, break the cycle of annoying pressure washing and use a solution that can get rid of the issue 100%.

Biodegradable, Environmentally Friendly Chemicals in SoftWash

Oftentimes, people are scared of the word "chemicals," but it's truly not such a dirty word. Everything is a chemical, even water (hydrogen dioxide).

The chemicals utilized in soft washing help break down pollutants and infestations, so they can be easily washed away. They do all the work without all the pressure. Our chemicals are water based, ship non-hazardous, and are biodegradable, meaning they break down into carbon and water within twenty (20) days after their introduction into the environment; leaving no contaminants behind.

4 Reasons to Use Soft Washing

There are plenty of reasons to choose soft washing over pressure or power washing, however here are our biggest reasons:

  1. Alternative to power washing
Pressure washing creates erosion and strips away materials that might have been loosened up by decay or aging. It may be suitable for some tasks and not others.

  2. It actually treats the infestation
Your home or business isn't only dirty – it's infected. Regular power washing simply removes the outer layer of this biomass and doesn't fix the root of the problem, leaving your surface susceptible again not long after power washing is finished.

  3. No damage from pressure
Improperly trained or unskilled power washers can cause serious damage to a roof or other surfaces, specifically if it's older to begin with.

  4. More sustainable cleaning option
Power washers utilize from 3 to 8 gallons of water per minute (gpm). In one hour of cleaning a pressure washer can use from 180 gallons upwards to 480 gallons of water. Conversely, soft washing only applies approximately 60 gallons of cleaning solution, which is comprised of about 40 gallons of water.

The cleaning solution is so effective that it lasts 4 – 6 times longer than pressure washing, making it more sustainable for the environment and your wallet.
